From preliminary examination to solution

Podiatric treatment begins with a general examination of the state of the skin and nails.
With this examination we try to understand the reasons that caused the problem, for example the use of the wrong footwear, an incorrect way of walking, etc..

The health professional who intervenes on foot problems is the Podiatrist, an expert able to integrate medical intervention with prevention, care and rehabilitation.

The podiatrist is also able to recognize the alterations, early or overt, which require a possible specialist control and can make use of instrumental tests such as the use of baropodometer.

Baropodometric examination

The baropodometric examination offers the possibility to evaluate subjects suffering from podalic problems and postural disorders, both in static and dynamic phase, providing information on the distribution of pressure load at the plantar surface.

Simply by walking on a platform of pressure detection, the podiatrist can determine problems of support and posture.

Intervene now and in the best way

From the first examination, the podiatrist intervenes and often resolves the pathology of the foot, directing the patient to the most appropriate therapy. For example:

In case of onychocryptosis (ingrown toenail) we proceed with the excision and subsequent removal of the nail portion cause of the lesion.

In the following cases we proceed with laser therapy

  • Warts (papilloma virus infection)
  • Onychomycosis (nail fungus)
  • Muscle-tendon pain (plantar fasciitis, heelitis, metatarsalgia, tendonitis of the achilles …) bursitis or edema.
  • Injuries (vascular and diabetic ulcers, surgical or post traumatic injuries)

In any case, it is better to intervene immediately and restore the natural physiological balance.

In the sterilization laboratory, all the provisions for the disinfection and sterilization of the instruments communicated by the Ministry of Health are applied in order to offer and guarantee the safety of our patients.
